NFL Bans Social Networking During Games

Bad news for athletes, hacks and flacks… Seems for now the NFL has banned the use of social networks during games. Normally, football only means one thing for me: New England Patriots. However when it involves my day job, a girl’s gotta raise her eyebrows.

Huh?

Has it really become that much of a distraction? Could the NFL honestly disregard the potential increase in interest traffic ratings revenue from attracting fans from around the globe? How will we see this trickle out to the rest of Sport? Futbol next?

It’s probably a good thing and frankly we shouldn’t expect Peyton Manning to Tweet Eli Manning during second quarter. The silver lining will have to remain before and after games. Just one question. So what about halftime and during commercial breaks?
